François-Xavier Clédat - Spie batignolles

François-Xavier Clédat - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Having graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics, followed by a postgraduate degree in management from Université Paris Dauphine, François-Xavier Clédat began his career in 1970 with a series of management posts in leading construction companies. He joined the Spie Group in 1987 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Spie SCGPM.

From 1992 to 1995, he was Chairman of Spie-Citra, before being appointed as CEO of the Construction division. He was CEO of the Spie Group from 1997 to 2003, and has been Chairman of Spie batignolles since 1997.

François-Xavier Clédat is also:

He was the driving force behind the Spie batignolles management buyout of September 2003 that resulted in the independence of the Spie batignolles Group.


Laurent Grall - Spie batignolles

Laurent Grall - Chief Operating Officer, Operations

Having graduated from the Ecole Centrale in 1979, Laurent Grall joined Spie batignolles in 1984 as head of engineered construction operations in the Rhône-Alpes region of south-eastern France, where he managed the construction of several viaducts, including the A40 Chaix (1987) and Poncin (1986) motorway bridge projects. He was also responsible for the engineered structures involved in diverting the Rhône-Alpes TGV high-speed rail line over the A26 and A27 motorways near Lyon.

From 1990 to 1998, Laurent Grall occupied management positions in the regional construction companies and Civil Engineering, Industry and Construction departments, first in south-western France, and later in the Mediterranean region.

In 1998, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of Spie batignolles nord, which operates in north-eastern France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.

In 2004, he took over as head of Spie batignolles TPCI, the company responsible for our infrastructure and civil engineering projects in France and Europe.

In 2006, he was appointed as head of Spie batignolles Civil Engineering operations.

Since 2008, Laurent Grall has been Chief Operating Officer, Operations for Spie batignolles.

Jean-Charles Robin - Spie batignolles

Jean-Charles Robin - Chief Operating Officer, Administration, Finance and Strategy

A graduate of the Lyon School of Management and holder of an MBA from Aston University, Jean-Charles Robin joined the Spie Group in 1982 as Administration and Finance Manager of Spie batignolles TP, beginning with Indonesia, moving on later to Colombia and Venezuela. Having occupied a number of posts in the Spie batignolles finance department, he was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in 1990, later moving on to become CEO at  Spie SA Spanish subsidiary Ginespie. From 1998 to 2001, he was Chief Financial Officer at Spie Fondations.

Jean-Charles Robin was appointed as Administration and Finance Director of Spie batignolles in April 2001, and as Deputy CEO, Administration, Finance and Strategy in February 2004, at which time he played a decisive role in the putting together the financial package that led to the independence of the Group.

In 2008, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Administration, Finance and Strategy of Spie batignolles.
